Convergence Journal aims to promote curiosity, critical thinking, and creative expression among the next generation of innovators and thinkers. Our peer-review process ensures that all published research meets the highest standards of scientific inquiry, including ethical considerations, rigorous methodology, and appropriate data analysis techniques.
Our mission is to provide a platform for young, talented voices in the academic world by publishing exceptional and original work from pre-university students, and to offer a formative scholarly experience that introduces authors to the standards, practices, and rigor of academic research and publication.

Convergence Journal, published by Indigo Research and The New York Academy of Sciences , provides a platform for young, talented voices in the academic world by showcasing exceptional and original work from pre-university students. Approximately 15% of submitted papers are selected for publication through a rigorous double-blind peer review process, overseen by an Editorial Board of 23 experienced academics and researchers and supported by a team of over 130 subject-matter expert reviewers.
As a double-blind, peer-reviewed publication, Convergence Journal advances the most rigorous academic work produced by young scholars today. The Journal is founded on the conviction that by fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and innovation among emerging scholars, we can generate new insights, perspectives, and approaches to knowledge that can transform individuals, communities, and our interconnected society.
Convergence Journal welcomes English-language submissions on a rolling basis from young people aged 18 and under. Submissions from any area of study are welcome, with particular interest in interdisciplinary work straddling STEM, social sciences and humanities topics. This can include such fields as Engineering, Medicine, Computer Science, Law, Politics, Humanities, Philosophy, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, and Mathematics. Manuscripts should be between 3,000 - 10,000 words and formatted according to APA Style (7th edition).

As a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal, Convergence has a robust framework for its
academic publication and review process, which all submissions must go through.

Upon submission of a manuscript, our editorial board will make an initial decision as to whether it should be sent for peer review.

All submissions chosen for review will be anonymized by the editorial team, before being sent to two reviewers in the relevant field.

Reviews are returned to the editorial team with their recommendation regarding publication, as well as substantive feedback. The editorial team will then decide whether to return the manuscript to its author for revision, or to reject the submission.

Authors who are selected to move forward with revisions will have one month to implement the recommendations made by the reviewers.

Upon receiving the revised manuscript, the editorial team will consider once more whether to move forward with the publication process, suggest resubmission, or reject the manuscript.

Accepted manuscripts will be copy edited and then reviewed as a complete issue by the editorial board prior to the publication of the journal.
